Serving Shenandoah and Page Counties

1st Annual Charity Golf Tournament

Great News!  The American Red Cross, Shenandoah County Chapter will hold its 1st Annual Charity Golf Tournament on Friday, May 21, 2010, at Bryce Resort. We hope you will help us “help our own” by participating in our Tournament, sponsoring a hole, or donating a “door prize”.

Around the world, around the nation, around the corner – there is a place where people help others in need.

  • Where people will give whatever they can to feed and clothe victims of a disaster.
  • Where business owners and community organizations raise funds to help provide food and shelter for those who have lost their homes and livelihoods.

That place is Shenandoah County, and those kind people are generous residents and the trained compassionate volunteers of the Shenandoah County Chapter of the American Red Cross. The Red Cross is ready to respond to the emergency needs of the county.

2009 Shenandoah County Chapter Milestones

  • Assisted 27 families by responding to 25 fires, providing clothing, lodging & $30,944 financial assistance
  • Taught 2,046 individuals lifesaving skills
  • Relayed 73 emergency messages between military & their families while they served
  • Collected 2,975 units of blood which saved thousands of lives
  • Trained 126 disaster volunteers & certified two disaster shelters

A $50.00 Sponsorship contribution entitles you to a sign prominently displayed on the tee box of one of the eighteen holes, a listing in our Tournament Program, and public acknowledgement during the Tournament and in the Bryce Courier after the Tournament. We also want you to know, should you choose another form of charitable support, in lieu of money, we gladly accept prize donations that will be raffled off to our Tournament participants.

We anticipate over 90 golfers from Shenandoah County and the surrounding area to participate in our Tournament.

Regardless of your level of support, please know your contribution will be greatly appreciated, and put to much-needed use in the “Valley”.
