Blood Drives

To be eligible to donate, you must be 16 years of age (with parental permission) or older, at least 110 pounds, and be in reasonably good health.  A person can give every 56 days.  All blood types are needed, but especially O negative and O positive.  Blood Drives are on a walk-in basis, no appointment necessary.  Direct questions regarding donating to 1-800-GIVELIFE.

Toms Brook Volunteer Fire Department sponsored a Blood Drive on Saturday, March 13, 2010 in honor and memory of Harry F. Edge Jr., a lifetime member of the Department for over 40 years who lost his battle to cancer recently. The blood drive for Mr. Edge was very successful, attracting over 50prospective donors and collected 45 pints on a 30 goal drive. Shown here donating blood is one of Mr. Edge's son, Rick Edge.
